I was inspired to make a 10x10 canvas to encourage a girl at our church....she's a dancer.
Here's the finished canvas:
It's painted with 3 colors of acrylic paint with some texture underneath then some paper embellishments that I made. I printed "Never Frown, Smile Often, and Always Dance" on some thin fiber paper (old school stamper here and it was in my stash) then stamped some black flowers and swirls and covered it all with a gloss gel. Love how it turned out and I know she'll love it!

Psalm 32:8 Watercolor
This week's Monday Meditation verse was Psalm 32:8. I got some inspiration from other artists that I follow and came up with this creation. I painted it on a dictionary page then glued it onto a thin 8x10 board and edged it in a black gloss. I love the way it turned out!

Scripture Art
I've not had time to do much crafting but I will show you a couple of simple art projects that I've done in the last few weeks. Every Monday, our pastor sends out a scripture for the week for us to be meditating and praying on. Recently, I've begun to incorporate that scripture into my (limited) craft time and have really enjoyed it.
Last week was Song of Solomon 8:6-7 and here's what I came up with:
A few weeks ago, our verse was Psalm 27:4 and I chose to paint a watercolor:
This is such a good way to learn scripture and then have it around for a constant reminder.
Blessings,
Ronda

Bead Soup Mix
In January, I signed up to be part of a bead-trading online party where you gather a set of beads and clasp (toggle) and send it to your assigned partner for them to create a new piece(s) of jewelry.
Here is my bead mix that I received from Rubiee at http://www.rubiee.com/blog/
I'm just now finishing my creation and we are all going to reveal our pieces this Saturday, Jan 26th!

Valentine's Brunch
This morning I hosted a nice Valentine's brunch for our church leadership team ladies.
I used some of the fun Valentine's ideas that I've seen on different posts to create the
great Valentine subway art to give as gifts and the love banner for decorations.
I enjoyed using my set of Desert Rose dishes (they were my Grandmother's) for a lovely table setting.
A wonderful morning indeed!

Winter Projects
I've been working on some winter sewing projects here at my house.
First - my new quilt for spring to put on our bed. I love green and purple together along with the black and white.
Of course, why only work on one quilt when you can work on two? Here is a red and white lap quilt that I'm also in the middle of putting together. Now, these are both done by hand - not machine so you can see why they are takingforever some time.
Finally, I'm updating my pillows on my couch and chairs in the living room. Here's the first pillow
that I've made to replace the old ones. The middle gathered part was fun to add in to make it have more texture.
Be blessed,
Ronda
